Charitable photography for world-wide non-profit endeavors.

We’re proud to announce that the 2012 field assignment in Guatemala for Friendship Bridge is finished! The map below shows the area that freelance photographer Ben Rasmussen and Julie Malmberg of the Denver based NGO, Friendship Bridge, traveled during the shoot from March 19th to the 23rd in the highlands of central Guatemala.
Each of the pinpoints shows the location of their day to day travels, which in combination with blog entries from Julie and Ben, tell the story of their assignment from the field. You can find their blogs as well as this map and other information regarding this project by clicking PROJECTS at the top of the page.

This is just the beginning of the process for this collaboration—the real work begins in April when we start brainstorming and fundraising for the public outreach portion of this grant so please follow along as we work through that process.

About Project Exposure

Project Exposure is a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding and promoting photography projects around the globe through our grant making and public outreach initiatives.

The aim of Project Exposure is to create an opportunity for non-profits and photographers from the same community to collaborate on projects worldwide. To accomplish this Project Exposure covers travel fees and expenses for photographers willing to work pro bono for US based non-profits operating outside the US. To achieve this, we rely on community and corporate funding to facilitate this essential connection between charitable work and professional photography. In addition, there will be an public outreach program featuring the work of the photographer and the non profit that will also be funded by Project Exposure through various funding sources. By using the power of still photographs, the goal is to raise awareness of the work of the non-profit, the talents of the photographer and the mission of Project Exposure as well as give rise to a self sustaining collaboration between the photographer and the nonprofit.

Photographer Tim Ryan has created Project Exposure from his own first hand experiences working internationally for non profit organizations. For more information please contact Tim Ryan at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
